I have a legitimate question regarding this forum.....
Why was it created and who requested it? What is the purpose of this forum? Is the intent that this should be a forum where individual members can have a voice? Do ACNA BoD members monitor this forum? Should an individual reasonably expect an answer from someone representing ACNA?
Can I get a role call of any ACNA BoD members reading this post? You guys (and gal) out there?
One of the biggest issues I see with ACNA is the lack of communication. We've seen it time and time again where someone asks a question and is met with silence. Lack of response can be frustrating and it leads to questions as to why there is no response. It's reasonable that someone can wonder if something shady going on? Then the e-snowball begins to build as more people get involved. Conflicting personalities, conflicting agendas, information and misinformation are spewed. Ultimately, it reflects bad on the club and we never seem to hear from the BoD until things are already waaay out of hand. I'd like to think that if they addressed issues in a timely manner that some of the sh!tstorms could have been avoided.
There has been a lot of talk about transparency into ACNA. I, for one, can't see much. I cannot express how frustrated I am with the fact that there are 6 or 7 real questions floating around that really need answers and the ACNA BoD *seems* to have zero interest in answering. Please prove me wrong ACNA BoD. Their `response' yesterday that was going to answer all of our questions and make everything clear was kind of a joke. After the Chapter Rep call we had on Wednesday night I'd be embarrassed to have my name associated with that `response'. I suspect (hope) that there was a lot of discussion as to the content and I suspect there had to be some sort of vote to approve the document. I'd love to see the yeah/nay by member voting to approve. I'd love to hear details of the discussion and would be interested to find out if there are those on the BoD that wanted to address our questions.
Now, I also understand that all issues and all discussion should not be public. I realize that each member of ACNA BoD is in a tough spot and I certainly don't envy their position.
Back to my original question - What is the purpose of this forum? In my opinion, without interaction from ACNA representatives this forum is simply a very public place to air the club's dirty laundry. Is that what we were shooting for?

If I wanted an answer from you I'd call you! 8^P
I guess I do remember reading that post a while ago so I apologize for asking that one. Should have STFA.
Still some other questions to be answered.

Good points
suspect it was to get the comments and questions out of the local forums
but if they don't provide info here - then it has no purpose as you suggest.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/rockymtn/msgs/126634.phtml">Link</a></li></ul>

Re: I have a legitimate question regarding this forum.....
Its actually asked about in an April? 2008 BoD minutes....
Mention in the RMC forum here:
https://forums.audiworld.com/rockymtn/threads/14490.phtml#125686
I found OLD content here:
http://www.audiclubna.org/images/minutes/ACNA-2007-August-29-minutes.pdf
"e. Web and Internet Committee- Nick Pinto reports
i. Researched other sites.
<b>ii. Talked to Karen Chadwick and Matt Daniels who maintains ACNA website.
iii. Action Item: Discussion with Andrew Gantman about member chat room. Dean Treadway asked that Nick attend the next Chapter Representative meeting to address the topic."</b>
I suspect the current best use would be to sweep us "whiners" here and not reply, keep the public eye off the topics in the regional forums and have the BoD formulate an explanation to our Q's through these posts.
I think the idea was good deed & genuine, but its effective in stopping this communications "strength in numbers" or "knowledge is power" on thepart of the membership.<ul><li><a href="http://www.audiclubna.org/images/minutes/ACNA-2007-August-29-minutes.pdf">Member link to ACNA chat forum thru ACNA</a></li></ul>
