Default Help in selling 1995 S6

I have a well worn 1995 S6 with no modifications and 224,000 miles. I've had it since '01. I still drive it several times a week. It runs well and has a PA inspection.

It has it's issues:
HVAC head unit is bad so it can run on heat or a/c but manually setting motor flap/ Mechanic says all motor flaps work and believes it needs a head unit. I can turn on and adjust fan speed only.

Clear coat over black is bad on all top surfaces. All surfaces have been repainted during my ownership. All but top surfaces look good, no rust. One minor accident in by 16 years, replaced front bumper cover and hood.

Interior is worn with cracked gray leather and driver's bolster has broke through and is tapped with no loss of backing. Headliner is drooping at rear. All dash light are good and gauges, speedo and tach work. All windows and sunroof work. Stereo works including 10 disc CD. Have not tried cassette recently. Speakers are OK but not great.

Trunk struts are shot. Door lock system has issues. I open and lock from trunk and everything locks and unlocks.

Wheels are in great shape. and I have a set of 97 A4 wheels for winter.

Should I list here "as is" or is it worth some moderate investment to fix things? Should I list elsewhere such as BAT, anywhere else?

Besides the paint and worn interior most of those things are fairly easy to fix. The Headliner is sort of a pain in the *** and you'd have to pay someone some labor hours for that fix. I'd suggest just selling as is on CL or cars autotrader qw and audifans etc. With that mileage and bad paint you're not going to get much for it even if you fix the other stuff. I'd suggest trying to get $2-3k and be done with it. If you fixed everything and painted it you'd probably only get 4-5k at most.

Thanks GoHeels! Always thought these cars would start to increase in value since they are so rare and such great cars. That has not really happened yet. I know mine is not the best out there so I'm not delusional but would hate to sell for $2K and then have the value shoot up in a couple years. Plus I enjoy driving it, in some ways a bit more than the 2010 A6 3.0T I bought to replace it.

Anyone else with an opinion? Would love to here from you. I'm leaning toward selling as is in the next few months.

List it in the Classifieds section, but not here.
