My stock 1996 UrS6 (2.2 turbo) has broken a rear spring. Unfortunately I can't find any stock springs for sale. I would ideally like to maintain the ride height (as I regularly drive on dirt track roads) and I don't want the ride to become a bone shaking experience. Does anyone have any views on which spring kit is softest? Does anyone know of any stock springs for sale or the specs for stock springs? Should I retain the stock dampers or get a spring/damper kit?

I have looked at Spring and Spring/Damper kits from H&R, Bilstein and Eibach among others.

Try here, these free 1992 s4 springs Sumas - audifans.com marketplace on the 3rd page are likely compatible. There are probably more if you dig through the parts marketplace pages. You should be able to find some from someone parting out a car.
