Default Stock Radio with no SAFE codes? Any workaround?

I replaced my original Bose radio last year with a used one from Canada and somehow misplaced or never got the codes from the previous owner. I had to get some electrical work done today and it went into the infamous SAFE Mode. Other than getting the serial number and having Audi get them for me is there any work around? Thanks.

Nope. Audi is generally good on this. You might have to show up at the dealership with your car to show them that you are legit. They need the SN off the actual radio, not the car's VIN.

BTW: I always write the radio code on a piece of masking tape on the top of the battery to avoid situations like this.
