Default Could an R8 be a daily driver?

I know the performance and whole nine yards about the R8. I have an S8 as I needed a sedan. I had an ECU upgrade, a resonator bypass X-Pipe to hear at least some growl.... I have enjoyed every single moment of driving it but the car started to show aging issues here and there... I have 72K miles on it.

Our garage has already 3 cars with 2 seats (Porsche 911 is being considered as a 2 seater) and adding another one would create some noise from my wife. We have an SUV to fit the purpose. I take out S8 as my daily drive and of course drive it hard at all times...

Thinking about a new ride but has to be somewhat reliable for hard driving and daily performance. I do not want my DD to be in the shop all the time.

Is R8 good for daily hard driving? Any issues?

I would like to stay in AUDI family and options are limited. To keep a 4 door, S7 would be the best choice over the new S8 as I do not find it attractive. Actually I can't really tell the difference with A6 or S6 from a distance. I love the long sleek look of D3 which made me kept it for a while.

Otherwise, I would seriously consider an R8 if there is no significant issue.

Any recommendations?

I guess no one wants to reply as I must have asked a very dumb question. I will test drive and see what happens.

Yes. It can be a daily driver. I have the V10 Plus which is supposed to have a firmer suspension but find it more comfortable than my base 3.6 911 carrera in normal mode. Visibility is excellent with a backup camera it can be parked easily.

I could drive my r8 v10 spyder (manual) almost every day. However, with kids activities and the logistics that go with that, we mostly drive the a7 tdi and my jeep wrangler 4 door. The R8 is great in town or on highway in its relaxed mode. And I love how it rips when you want it...the gated shifter is phenomenal. The cars I had before were a 997.2 gt3 and a 2012 Nissan gtr. The r8 is somewhere in the middle of those two. Fun to drive, super capable, but also very easy going when you are just doing normal things. It attracts a ton of attention but not the bad kind (Nissan gtr).
