Hi!

Is there a way to stream any video from your iPhone to your MMI screen? For example a youtube video or something.

Unfortunately, no internet video streaming. Depending on the iPhone model and with the compatible AMI cable, you should be able to run videos loaded on the phone however. (when the car is stationary).

Thanks! Can I play a video from VLC from the iPhone 6? If so, does the video need to be formatted or sized specifically?

In previous Audis the only app that could play videos through the MMI was the Apple video app. Not sure about the new A3 - you could check over at the A3 Forum. Same with the resolution as it may have changed with the A3.
