Hi,

I'm the proud new owner of a 2016 S3 here. I've been following various threads on this site and others on enabling "Install Fair Mode" to pave the way to tether the phone's data connection to MMI for Google Maps etc. All posts I've seen to this point refer to models A4/A5/Q7.

The question I have at this point is if the same method (which I won't link to in case it is in violation of rules, but most people have probably seen it) is whether the A3/S3 MMI system is in any way different. For example, can the green menu be enabled using VAG-COM, can fair mode be installed and the various network settings be applied using an SD card from there to allow data tethering. The hardware side I know already, this is just a question on whether the 2016 S3 is configurable in this way.

Hmmm..it would appear this is not easy/possible. I saw on the Ross tech forums that they did not say they could enable the green menu. I'll continue the search and update the thread if I find out more.
