Hi all,

I have purchased the following to upgrade my system:

JL XD 1000/5v2 amp
JL 8W7 sub

I chose the standard symphony sound system as I planned to upgrade myself but I am unable to find a great deal of info on the latest A6 Symphony amp/wiring.

As far as I'm aware, similar to Bose and B&O, the Symphony also uses an optical amp input, so I cannot tap into this without a MOST device or going speaker level post eq/amplification.

I would like some advice on which DSP/Signal summing device works best to take the equalised factory amp output signal and flatten it out. Is it possible to extract full range from just the front mid/tweets and sub signal or would I also need to use the centre and rears to achieve full range?

Ideally I would have the following setup:
- Centre speaker not used
- Front 2 or 3 way comps
- Rear 2 way comps
- Sub

I would also consider the below if a better option:
- Centre speaker not used
- Front two way comps actively crossed
- Rear speakers not used
- Sub

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
