Looking to buy a second hand A4 Avant Quattro from Sep 2011 (61 plate) and need some advice on the MMI system and versions to use in negotiating on price. Dealer doesn't seem particularly clued up. Looked like a fairly old version but high spec at that point. Had the HDD and DVD as well as a SIM card slot between the two SD card slots. Does this mean it is MMI 3G+, the connect system? Or did the 3G High prep systems have a SIM card slot?

I asked for both the MMI hardware and software versions as well as the same for navigation ( it is 2 different bits of software/firmware?)

He sent me a photo which had two lines on Software version: 3G_DAB_K0098 and Nav Database version : 8R0060884N ECE 5.12.5.

This looks to be 2011 maps so I need to ask for an update but I'm not clear on the MMI or software version and whether I can ask for it to be updated as a condition of purchase?

Can anyone help? Give me the idiots guide?
