Subwoofer Control Dial
Hi AudiWorld,
I bought a 2012 A6 Prestige in October. Love it so far. I had driven a 2012 Permium Plus before the Prestige. The Premium Plus had MMI v556 and I could swear it had a dial for adjusting the volume of the subwoofer. The Prestige that I bought has MMI v487 and has no subwoofer dial.
Does anyone know if the dial is something that is added in later versions of MMI, or is it something that can be enabled in the green menu or with VAGCOM?
Thanks in advance!

Ok, so from what I've found out so far, cars without Bose have the dial and cars with Bose do not have the dial. Does anybody know if the dial can be enabled with a Bose system?

I've got a6 2010 le manns and its got the dial for subwoofer but to be honest the sound is so disappointing that I'm seeking help to get external subs installed with amp. Increasing sub volume doesn't make any difference to the sound instead it just makes distorted when you crank your volume up slightly which is a big no.
Here is a way you can get green option.
Hold setup + car button together to get the green menu and try your luck!
Otherwise consider upgrading your mmi software!

This is correct. The Bose system does not have the subwoofer level adjustment. The base system does have it.
I don't think there is any way to enable that feature for Bose.
If you disconnect the MOST cable from the Bose amp, the MMI will immediately revert itself down to the base audio with the Subwoofer adjustment..... but obviously you won't get any audio without the Bose amp connected.
