The volume **** on the dash of our 2012 Q5 is not working - actually it's working in reverse. After a couple of clicks clockwise to increase the volume it actually decreases significantly, even muting. However, the volume control on the steering wheel works fine. The issue occurs both listening to the radio and using the hands free phone. The **** does work correctly in the the counterclockwise direction.

Is this a known problem, or does anyone have fix or means of troubleshooting?

The little research I've done is that the radio will have to be sent out. I would expect 6-8 weeks to get it back if it is in fact repairable. Obviously I'm open to suggestions to avoid that time without a radio.
