WMA3000A and possible power issues?
I purchased the WMA3000A and quickly unboxed it and plugged it into the AMI in my 2008 Audi A8L.
I turned on the car and there was no blue light on the device. The MMI when I choose AUX, displays "There is no device connected".
Now I am wondering if my AMI is not working or does not provide power? I am running version 4160 on the MMI, do I need to upgrade?
I don't have any other cables to try and see if the AMI even works. I am tempted to buy a cable and see what happens but I would really like to get this device working because streaming audio would be really nice.
Any thoughts?

I forgot to mention that I plugged in the WMA3000A via the micro USB to a power source in my house and the blue light came on. So that means the device is working but there is just no power from the AMI.

Do you have buttons to control the stereo by the gear stick?
If not then it sounds like your stereo isn't mmi 2nd or 3rd generation which I believe these are designed for
I have seen some kits come with power options but not sure about the wma3000a but I had a similar problem with a Bluetooth adapted not working. I got the power from the lighter socket in the end
