Finally in chicago we had some great car detailing weather.
It took me over 3 hours to polish and wax the car by hand and I couldn't even get 2 coats in before it got dark.
I think I'm just going to go ahead and purchase the pc buffer.

With the PC, I can polish, GEPC & wax (by hand) all in about 2 hours.

Default WOW! I've spent two hours on a trunk lid!

It just depends how bad things are. What products I am using, what paint is on the car, what buffer I am using (rotary or orbital) etc.

But I am not that fast!

I have too, if I'm correcting a problem. I was referring to just the usual touch-up detail.

Default A full day.

You'll become **** retentive when you get that polisher in your hand. Nothing less than perfection will do, so it doesn't really save time...it just ensures better and more consistent results. Plan on a 1/2 day to a full day depending on the quality of your paint.

If Troy can do it in 2 hours, I suggest you bring it to his house and pay him $40/hr.
