Nano ceramic paint seal worth it?
Wondering what others thoughts and experiences are that have used the paint sealant? Is it that much better than wax? $70 and up for 40 ml sounds a little steep. Does the existing wax need to be removed first? I'm all for it if it's all what it claims.

Wax v. sealant v. coating
Gary, there is paint sealant and there are (ceramic) coatings. Entirely different products. Traditional sealants last about 6 months on a daily driver. The newer coatings should be good for a couple years when applied correctly.
In terms of prep, the surface of the vehicle must should be polished to perfection, have decontamination and then coated. The polishing and cleaning phases are typically time consuming. The application of the coating is quick.
Some people are doing an entire vehicle with 10ml. 40ml of product is enough for several cars.

Have my nano ceramic on the way from Lithuania ? Stopped to get a quote from a detail shop but they never called me back. That's enough to go somewhere else or better yet do it myself for $60

This is what I ordered. I've read a few mixed reviews on it. Has anyone here used it?? Possibly the couple bad ones weren't prepped properly?

The key is surface prep. That's what costs so much to have a shop do it. Basically they clay bar the entire car and make sure the surface is free from imperfections and residue. I just don't have the time to do that so i'm having it done in a few weeks.

I have a clay bar, but it makes my arms & back hurt just thinking about it. Will washing with dawn dishwashing liquid remove the dirt & strip the WAX??

Yeah, de-contamination followed by polishing are the critical steps in getting long-lasting adhesion. Applying the coating represents about 10% of the total effort.

So polishing after washing with dawn? What do you exactly do you mean by polishing? I assumed you would polish after applying and cured out

Gary, machine polishing to perfect the surface PRIOR to application of the coating.
