Default Real solution for bug removal? Sick of bad products...

I drove my A8 about 1000 miles to bring it home from the dealer. The front end is completely coated in bugs. Pressure spray, no dice.

I bought some bug removal spray product and it did hardly anything at all... There was a product I had twenty years ago that positively melted bugs off in mere seconds, but I've not seen it on the shelves since the 90's.

Any recommendations? Or should I just let a wet towel soak them off?

Same issue here. I just purchased the audi product online. I'll let you know if it flies (!)

This is my first white car. Bugs are very noticeable. They all need to die, or course, but not on my paint and windshield. They do make a mess when they hit at very high speeds.

And gnats love to land on the car under lights at night in a parking lot.

I like 1Z bug and tar remover... Spray it on and let it dwell for about 5-10 minutes and the bugs either spray off with the hose or when you run your mitt over them during the wash.. For particularly nasty splatters, you can lay a soaking wet microfiber over them for a few minutes before doing the above steps

I just tried the Audi product. Foams on. Wipe off in a minute and it works.

I own and operate a mobile auto detailing biz and my product of choice is DETAIL KINGS BUG OFF. available at Detail King: Mobile Auto Detailing, Reconditioning, Equipment, Supplies and Training Schools. Melts them right off, rinsing and minor agitation with soft sponge may help but the chemical does most of the work.

Here's what I would recommend

Sister Company: Autogeek.net
Detailer’s Road Kill Bug Remover

Use these with any shampoo or bug remover:
Safe Scrub Bug & Tar Pad

or..

2 in 1 Sheepskin Wash Mitt with Nylon Bug Sponge

The Audi product just works. Spray on. Let it work for about 15 secs. Wipe off. Or spray on and go through a car wash. I know the automatic washes stink but when it is 45F and windy I'll do it. The Audi wheel cleaner also just works. I'm curious which products those really are....
