Thanks for the help. I'm excited about giving my new baby the Zaino treatment and I've been using Zaino for a couple years on my '00 A4 and '90 Miata so I know the basic routine. However, I'm not sure what I should do to prep the paint. I was thinking of maybe just washing once or twice with Dawn and starting from there. I didn't plan on claying first and I question whether it would be necessary. I want to clean the paint in the least abrasive manner possible before applying Zaino. What do you guys recommend???

so you might have to clay even if new. If you stretch a piece of Saran Wrap type material over your finger and feel the paint (after washing with Dawn) you can tell if you need to use the clay--you will be able to feel the roughness if it is there.
