Pan do you have any experience with some of the nano coating products like MotoShield Pro? They claim to make it a lot easier to clean wheels.

Hi PeteDin206. Yes I've used some nano wheels coatings. I used GTechniq C5 Wheel Armour and it works quite well.

Pinnacle Black Series Diamond Coating also works great.

But honestly, a coat of a good paint sealant like Chemical Guys Jet Seal 109 also does the trick, just doesn't last as long.

I have not heard of MotoShield...

I think they are relatively new to the market... Once I get my new car and apply the coating I will provide some feedback.

Thanks for sharing man. Great video!

Just out of curiosity, how often do you recommend cleaning a car for optimal condition? Right now I'm in the habit of two detailings annually (spring and fall) interspersed with touchless washes. I'm a fellow Canadian, so it's usually not practical to spend a lot of time cleaning the car during the winter.

Thanks for the feedback I appreciate it!

To answer your question, there is really not a right answer to that. I have a big heated garage so I can clean my car year round. I like to clean it at least once or twice a week during summer/spring/fall and at least once a week during winter.

But one thing is for sure, the "golden standard" for a complete detail (which included some sort of protection like wax, paint sealant or coating) should be done twice a year. Once in spring to get rid of the winter gunk and damage to the paint, and once just before winter to prepare the car for harsh conditions to come.

I hope that answers your question!
