Xpel, ClearBra, Stongard owners: What kind of wax do you use to clean your 3M film? TIA

Plexus
Products that contain naphtha and kerosine should really be avoided on paint protection film. They don’t get along well with polyurethane. Plexus won’t yellow film immediately, but repeated use can cause issues especially on light colored cars. If you look at the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for Plexus at http://www.technokats.org/wp-content...ic-Cleaner.pdf you’ll see that it contains 23% of something they call “Aliphatic Petroleum Distillates”. If you look up the CAS number for that ingredient at Chemical Database: Naphtha (EnvironmentalChemistry.com) then you’ll see that one of the synonyms for it is the chemical mentioned earlier called Naphtha. This means that Plexus is 23% Naphtha, making it harmful to paint protection film.
The picture below shows two pieces of raw urethane that were run through accelerated weather testing. The left was untreated, the right was treated with Plexus.” It’s simply a different chemistry than what Plexus was designed for (acrylic).
