Brake wobble 40mph and less
Newbie here!
I have a 2012 Q7 ABT AS7 (38,000 miles)
I had the 2 x front bearings replaced due to wear believed to be from the 35mm spacers as part of the ABT extension kit.
Since having the vehicle returned there is a bad vibration when decellerating from 40mph to 0! I have fitted new drilled and grooved discs and new Mintex pads, wheels are balanced and true, same tyres as before. Still a wobble!
I have replaced the track rod ends, lower arms and drop links with only the upper links to do when I have more time (requires bleeding of air struts via VAGCOM) and removal of the struts.
I took the car out this evening and tried bedding the discs and although its improved, the wobble is still there. Interestingly, this gets worse when the suspension is raised which depicts the upper arm to me due to the geometry.
2 questions
Has anyone else had a si milar experience
Would skimming the discs in situ (even though new) assist in any way
Starting to wonder where to go next with this!
Cheers
Neil
