I know ceramic pads are give off much less dust BUT several very experienced high performance oriented people AUDI and otherwise have told me they felt their stopping power and fade resistance to be less than OEM AUDI pads. I would like to find a pad that has good initial bite but is somewhat easier to modulate than stock which seem slightly "grabby" to me. I'm not alone in this judgement as a friend who came over to a C6 Avant from the world of BMW has exactly the same feeling about the braking in his '08 A6 Avant. Less dust would be nice but not as important as good & easily modulated stopping power. I would be installing new Zimmerman rotors at the same time. Several brands I've looked at include Hawk HPS & Stop Tech. Any opinions appreciated. I have an '06 A6 Avant w/ 213K and '07 A6 Avant w/ 124K, they both appear to have stock pads but the '06 is worse as far as grabbiness. TIA
