Default noob question. What is the difference in the engine that makes the 225 vs 180HP?

Is it K04 vs K03?

If so, is yours the 225 or 180? I see dual exhaust which was the visual clue of 225, but since you have a Borla, I'm wondering if you were 180 and went with a dual aftermarket.

Make sense?

Default I believe it is the engine angle. I'm a 180hp plus chip

but you are correct, usually the single outlet denotes a 180 or FWD I think.

Maallish or Auditt123 may know more on this, seeing how they have the 225's.

Default Two intercoolers, not turbos...

Mechanically, the TT uses a transversely mounted engine with front or quattro four-wheel drive. It was first available with a 1.8 L turbocharged inline four cylinder 20-valve engine, with either 180 PS (132 kW) or 225 PS (165 kW). The engines share the same basic design but the 225 PS version features a larger turbocharger, an additional intercooler on the driver's side, forged connecting rods, a dual exhaust, and a few other internals designed to accommodate the increase in turbo boost from roughly 10 psi peak to 15.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audi_tt</a

Default shlt after 6 years of having one, i found out, only have 1 turbo ....

but seriosly,
Bruno, you forgot quattro, & better stereo
also bigger tires as option, no 18" for 180hp.
as far as i remember. (as of 2003)
