Default "Nice drive" roads heading up to Barrie/Orillia and further?

Thanks to Visti, I had an opportunity to drive #13 last year...awesome.

Continuing on that theme, does anyone have any recommendations for roads to get up to the Barrie area and further to Orillia?

Hwy 27 is one, but it's crazy busy.

Others? Tanner, I recall a post by you last year where you were near Orangeville, I believe.

TIA

I think you're referring to "The Forks of the Credit" road, but that's nowhere near Barrie.

Default Here (BWW)

There's a nice little drive east of Orangeville that cuts across #1 and passes Hockley Valley as shown below. It's short, too short like all the fun roads near Toronto. You don't get into the awesome roads until you head further north for a few hours.

Default No, not that one...I know that one. I'm looking for unknown gems...

to circumvent the 400/11/169 boring drive to cottage country.

Default Picture is blurry and out of focus.

Sorry, I guess the western half of the country doesn't yet realize that driving and taking photos at the same time isn't a smart thing to do.

Default You need to scroll to the right

Your gig-mongous pic screwed up the placement of his little pic. :-)
