Anything's possible. Heck Audi released the S5 first, which is a first for Audi
Would have expected the A5 first but given this new market they probably guessed the S5 would sell better, and in fact, it looks like it did.

Doesn't make sense if they don't bring over a 2.0T for the A4
A4 2.0T is their bread and butter.
Of course, nothing's certain until AOC puts out their official announcement (for both the A4 and A5).
