Someone in the B8 forum suggested I ask afretes on this forum. I'm wondering if the A4 Avant will be limited to slushbox transmissions only when it debuts this fall. I have a lease coming due in September on a 2006 A4 20.T Avant 6MT, and on the fence as to buy out the lease (already over the mileage limit) or take a look at the new and improved car. However, if forcing an automatic on us is one of the mandatory 'improvements' then I'll have to take a pass.

What is availability on the current models like? Sounds like the quattro avant is pretty much like my current car in terms of packages - sunroof, memory seats, etc.
