I know a lot of people like Mobil 1 OW-40, but its hard to find. Im looking for a good all year motor oil (I live in Toronto).
I was leaning towards AMSOIL European Synthetic 5W-40 Motor Oil. Its readily available and costs equal to or less than the synthetic the dealer uses.

Amsoil

I'm using Mobil Delvac 1 (5W-40) aka Turbo, Truck & Diesel.
Oil is rated for gas engines, seems to work nicely in my 3.0.
If it gets really cold where you are, then might want to get into a 0w40, though Audi Junkie on the B6 forum says the Mobil 1 shears down to a lower weight.
Wasn't available in stores, but ordered it from my local Esso lubrications depot.
