Default control arms in T.O

Front end of my car has been clunking when ever I go over bumps or up driveways for the past few months now. Need to change my control arms. On a tight budget right now, so I'd like to know if anyone knows of any places in Toronto that does them for a lower price? And can I just do my fronts or do I need to do the rears as well? TIA

Tom

Default What exactly does the clunking sound like?

I have a noise that my suspension makes when I go over certain bumps and driveways at slow speed. It's not a sound of metal hitting metal, but this weird muffled vibrating sound that lasts for a couple of seconds.

Mine just clunks. Not sure how else to explain it, but when I go over a bump, I can hear my front end go clunk. It's not a continuous clunk, unless there's multiple bumps in the road that I'm travelling over.

Then it's not the same. It's more like a vibrating shuddering sound.

Default There's 4 arms per wheel, 2 uppers and 2 lowers

you'll need to examine each arm to detrermine if replacement is warranted or not, check out ecstunning.com for their complete control arm packages

Sounds like the upper front forward position, im doing mine this weekend. This arm is a pain in the butt because the strut assembly needs to come out to remove the bolt (at least on mine)i also noted that the clunk was way more audible when hitting small bumbs while cornering, i changed my sway bar links which alleviated the problem when turning, I paid $90 CDN for the upper Front, 135 for the upper rear and $120 for a pair of swaybar links, Good Luck
