Default The motor's dismantling process as started. Its upgrade to a 2.0 litre as begone. Opinion needed...

The first step in this 2.0 conversion was to remove all my MTM hardware. Also my custom made FMIC was removed so that it can be replaced by something bigger and more efficient.

Next will be the making of a custom exhaust manifold, downpipe and exhaust. Also on the list is new aluminium intercooler piping and a new FMIC. So this brings me to my next point and my "opinion needed" part...

I'm selling my special MTM kit.

It includes the following:

MTM injectors, MTM downpipe with race cat (100 cell), MTM cat back exhaust system, MTM lambda probe extended harness with the sensor, JJ TIP with silicone couplings which is needed for this kit, ported and polished OEM exhaust manifold, custom made MTM K04 turbo, my ECU (with no immobilizer) if it works in your car or else the MTM chip which would need to be installed in your ECU which comes with custom MTM programming for running on 91 and 94 octane gas plus race gas (VP MS109) and also is programmed with left foot braking enabled.

The special MTM K04 produced 30 WHP more than the regular K04-15 (240 WHP vs. 210 WHP) and on race gas produced an additional 15 WHP to 255 WHP

All components have 4 years on them with about 65,000 kms except for the custom made K04 which as 2 years on it and perhaps 25,000 kms.

Knowing how much I spent on this kit and MTM prices, do you think my offer is reasonable?

All this for only $2500 USD!

Shipping extra of course.

What do you think?

Default Sounds reasonable (more)

perhaps you could also offer an estimate of the cost for professional installation - I'm guessing about the same amount again. So for about $5000 the buyer gets about 50 reliable horsepower over stock, right? Quite a substantial change. Good luck with the sale.

Default Installation is not that long to do, my guess 5 to 8 hours only and a stock A4 is 170 CHP so...

for $2500 USD plus installation you get at least 100 to 130 CHP over stock (270 to 300 CHP).

When I first got the car and before any mods were installed I went on the Dynapak to record the stock engine's wheel horse ower rating (125.7 WHP).

Now with all the mods in, the car produces 240 whp on 94 octane and 255 WHP on race gas, that's more than double the WHP when compared to stock.
