I worked in electronics a few years during x-mass and prices are always the same before and after
And most of all, after x-mass, the choice is limited because most deals were already sold before

Exactly! With the exception of the occaisonal lost leader blowout which is in low inventory the
cost doesn't change and if you have a good contact and get a deal at 5-7% above cost then it doesn't matter when.

I am debating the same question...
given what Vincent said, would you think this year might be different and it would be better to wait with the economy in the shape it's in? Would it be valid to say that less people are buying big ticket items this year and more sales can be had after boxing day?
