That model got a little bit of a bad review in several aspects... the Sony HDRSR12 seems to be king
for now.
But it's $1499 at reg price where the Canon is $1250.

If I had to do it again, the Canon Vixia HF10
I have the Panasonic SD5: very convient, small, 3 CCDs, and records to a SD card
