Convenience? Yes....but more for Quality. (more)
Family had run into dirty gas issues with Shell, and Esso has been shown to have lesser quality. These showed Sunoco then Petro at the top, I stick to those. Car has run well and happily on these.

I AM PISSED OFF! PIONEER DISCONTINUED 93 OCTANE GAS!!
My local Pioneer gas station (accross the street from my house in Richmond Hill) went under renovation recently for new pumps and such so I am thinking, GREAT, I can use my credit card without going inside or waiting.
When they opened a week later I pulled up to the new pump and saw that the max they had was 91 OCTANE! I go inside to ask WTF and the guy tells me they discontinued 93 octane due to cost (they even had a little flyer ready to give to me explaining why but it was a bunch of B.S.)
So, now I have to drive 10 times further North and South of me to get to Sunoco which is what my ABT chip likes the most.
Oh well. I hope Sunoco doesn't raise the price on 94 since they are the only one's in Ontario with such high octane.

Usually Shell 91, then Esso 91
I heard somewhere that Shell had the cleanest gas of the big companies in Alberta - was told it was all from oilsands which has the lowest sulphur content. Esso was the worst - but they have the best touchless car wash ... I believe all the companies have upgraded their refineries to meet the new lower sulphur rules. Honestly I haven't noticed a difference between the two.
And one day we'll get 94 in Edmonton !!!
