Don't go above 5,300. 6,000 is borderline rice. Anything above and it's rice to the max baby.

Default Wiring shouldn't be an issue

As stated the wiring can handle 55W easily and then some more. I don't know exactly what the power draw is when the igniter is used but ongoing power, I think the power draw is around 35W.

Those are some good pricing if it's indeed a digital ballast that comes with it.

5300...don't dishonour the brand and model by putting in any other - I have my hammer ready in case.

Default Do you have an official level-of-riceness book or something?

If so, can I borrow it?

Default Look for the 209 relay

This was done on an S4 back in August 2004, took me a while to find the photos.

In the second image you'll see the two contacts that's circled. Stick a piece of electrical tape in there to prevent the DRL from coming on automatically. You can see the tape barely in the third photo, so it's between the left most two contacts.

Just make sure when you do the wiring, that the splices you make are insulated properly. If not, you can run into a problem where it'll arc across the wire and the xenon will shut off. And probably an electrical hazard too
