Just as I am about to head to Calgary:
"EXTREME WIND CHILLS TONIGHT. THIS IS A WARNING THAT EXTREME WIND CHILL CONDITIONS ARE IMMINENT OR OCCURRING IN THESE REGIONS. MONITOR WEATHER CONDITIONS..LISTEN FOR UPDATED STATEMENTS.
TEMPERATURES NEAR -30 AND BRISK NORTHERLY WINDS WILL RESULT IN EXTREME WIND CHILLS BETWEEN -40 AND -45 OVER SOUTHEASTERN ALBERTA TONIGHT."

It is cold, even by our standards.
I even got my dog a propane powered radiant heater to keep him from becoming a 'cold dog'.
By the way, I have a special shed for him with a small door and a separate insulated dog house inside the shed, where the heater is.
