Default X-Post from B6 forum: Newest mod: In-Pro (.de) chrome mirror caps

Just got them yesterday. The instructions were in German so Google's translator loosely helped but I was left to figure it out myself 80% of the time. The first mirror was a PITA to install. You remove the glass first ever so gently and let it rest so that it doesn't pull on the heated mirror wires too much. Then you take out the two screws from underneath, and gently remove the stock cap by pulling on it upwards, again with some patience. Install the InPro and work backwards.

These caps are a straight no hassle bolt-on. No problems manually flipping the mirrors, they move with ease. So for those with the 3.0, the auto-flip feature will surely work like butter.

I def. love the look, and some of my co-workers noticed them already and liked them too. They look strong enough to hold for a few years. I will keep a close eye. Hey, atleast they're not like the Kamei's which you glue on (yuk!).

While not the true S4 style, it certainly beats paying over $800 (VagParts) for the true S4 mirror caps/housings - and for 3.0s you loose the auto-flip f'n. I paid about a little too much (~$30-40 more than normal) I think from parts4euro.com I have been waiting for months for these caps, so I just decided to get them. I ordered on Friday, came from Cali via FedEx Ground and received them yesterday in MD. Very impressive.

I appologise for the bad quality of the pictures. I took them just before I was rushing to work today. Notice the beautiful dust of pollen! ;-)

Feel free to love and/or hate.
