Default Can anyone recommend a good but inexpensive place for a family to stay in Frankfurt (Germany)?

Adding some vacation time before a business trip early in March. Arriving on a Sunday morning, departing Friday morning.

Would also appreciate any kid-friendly suggestions for things to do or places to visit, etc.

Thanks in advance!

How far are you looking to drive?

Default Wasn't originally planning to get a car, but am willing to take public transportation

Not sure if we need to get out of the city to find decent lodging / kid-friendly stuff or not. I was sort of hoping to stay in town, but if that's not practical, I can be flexible.

Thanks again!

Default I haven't spend that much time in Frankfurt...

Only to go to the airport a few times. I highly doubt you would "need" go get out of Frankfurt to find devent lodging. It is a pretty big, modern city. There is a lot of family stuff to do with in a few hours drive. If you are into sightseeing I would try Heidelberg, which would be a great day trip. There is a really nice castle there. Trier, which is the oldest city in Germany, is also really nice for sightseeing. If thete is anything I can help you with feel free to ask.
