Buying a 2007 S8 with the "hard to open" MMI screen. I need to help it and then it jerks as it rises. Please, do you have a replacement gear, I guess this is what must be wrong. Do you also have a write up for this?
    Thank you.

I saw you made replacement MMI gears for the display....How much are you charging for it? Also can you send me the instructions so I can see if I can do it myself. I have a 2005 A8 and I live in NY. Let me know. Thanks!

Hi Mishar, I just purchased a 2004 Touareg (64k miles)with the 4.2. I did not think that the motor had ever been apart. The sharts on the intake are stuck and were broken by the previous owner. When I removed the intake the intake gaskets were covered with a thick grease. Is that the factory or recommended method for sealing the connection. The old gaskets are in good shape, what should I use as a sealer when I install the replacement intake? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Tim

Hi Mishar, I forgot to mention that zf have put the fear of god into me saying that basically the transmission will destroy itself without the updated software and that I shouldn't drive the car at all.

    Hi Mishar,
I have a 06 A8 3.0TDI Quattro and experienced noticeable gearshift 4th into 3rd on downshift intermittently. As there is 83,000 miles on it my local Audi specialists suggested changing the transmission oil.
Oil from Audi (part no G060162A2)on epc as the superceeded part no. After they changed the oil today & carried out the adaption process through the online Audi diagnostics (same as Main Dealer) but could not find any TSI's for gearbox programming.
Vehicle came with lifeguard 6 (no longer available from Audi) and this has been supeceeded to G06016A2 fluid.
On speaking to zf today, tech said there was a 'special procedure' for replacing oil & TCM module software update to use this oil. I asked him to provide information on the software update but refused to give the information.
Does anyone knows the gearbox software update code or the TSI bulletin number from Audi?.
    Hope you can help

    Hi Mishar,

I reached out to you a while ago regarding MMI gears, and I was hoping to meet up with you in Blaine or thereabouts. I just haven't been able to get myself together yet.

Anyway, It's been weeks (months?) and, yes, I'm still listening to the gears grind away when I start the car. I need to get a set and get this taken care of.

If you're heading South this weekend (3/28-3/29), I'd be glad to meet up with you. Otherwise, I'd like to order up a set and have you deliver through the Post (or whatever).

Let me know what works for you.

    Thank you Mishar.
