    Hi Mishar,

I reached out to you a while ago regarding MMI gears, and I was hoping to meet up with you in Blaine or thereabouts. I just haven't been able to get myself together yet.

Anyway, It's been weeks (months?) and, yes, I'm still listening to the gears grind away when I start the car. I need to get a set and get this taken care of.

If you're heading South this weekend (3/28-3/29), I'd be glad to meet up with you. Otherwise, I'd like to order up a set and have you deliver through the Post (or whatever).

Let me know what works for you.

    Thank you Mishar.

    Hello, Mishar!
Thank you for your valuable input on this forum. I do have an issue with my 2008 A8 W12 and was hoping for an advice. With the same temperature settings, different temperature air comes from the outlet vent on the driver side and passenger side. Driver side air vent is blowing very hot air all the time. Would you point me in the right direction to get this fixed, please?

    Hey Mishar,

I am new to the forums and a new owner to a 2006 audi a8. I have been reading thru the forums and you seem to have great solutions to other users problems. So, I am hoping you can help.

Here is the problem: Air suspension...

No leaks and car hold height all the time. all of the lift functions work and no warning lights on the dash. For some reason, the air compressor seems to turn on every time the car reaches a speed of 22-25mph and cuts off when I come to a full stop. This is very annoying because on cold starts I can really feel the vibration on my steering wheel (sound coming from front left driver side wheel).. Any advise on this matter would be greatly appreciated.. This is normal? if not what do you think is the issue?? Thanks for the time..

    Hi Mishar,
Looking for a set of MMI gears. Would you happen to have a set or know where they can be found? Dealer wants to sell me the whole unit but gears are all I need.
Thanks for the great repair instructions.

Hi Misha it's Mark. Do you have any insight into replacing the plastic strip that separates the shift cover from the electronics? Mine broke and I ordered the part but not sure it if it a hard job or something relatively easy. Thanks in advance!

Also my car has never really been updated, as in firmware. I was wondering if you know whether many if any of the car modules may stuff up during or throughout the update and or after the update. Please hope to hear from you soon thank you

    Hi Mishar,
I was hoping you may be able to help me with something in regards to my 2004 A8
I am in Australia and have an issue with the MMI. It seems to go from english or australian settings to German or Deutsch setting on restarting the car. The language will have resetted into German settings as well as the car thinking it is Left hand Drive rather than Right hand drive. For instance using the left heater dial will indicate on the screen as the drivers side and the right as the passenger as well as the Nav voice communicating more on the left front speakers rather than the right. I'd like to know if u knew a possible fix to this, ive gone to Audi and spent upwards of $400 only to be told that they are not sure why it seems to reset to german settings even when the MMI is reprogrammed.
P.S it tends to reset after the car has had time to power down after 10 or so minutes once the ignition is off, this is something i have noticed.
Hope to hear from you asap.
