I learned a valuable lesson this past weekend, after taking care of Rob's dog
It's that I am not a dog person. The whole take them out to pee/poop/walk, wake up early, yada yada...too much maintenance. Cats are easy. Just feed 'em and you're done.
Murphy's a great dog and he did nothing wrong. But caring for a dog is a big responsibility.

9AM? 9AM???? Try 6AM! And he was already sleeping on my bed, between my legs
He started with 1/4 barks to try and wake me up. After ignoring him for a while, he escalated to a full bark but at a reduced volume/intensity. I heeded that warning. I think he was all out of sorts after coming back in when I went straight back upstairs and went back to sleep. The 1/4 barks started again at 830, but I think those were out of boredom, not out of any biological reasons.
