Default Audi Service at VW dealer?

I am considering buying an Audi 3, just started looking. There is no Audi dealer within an hour away. I wondered if VW can service the audi under warranty? We have a VW dealer close by and wouldn't have to drive the hour to the audi dealer. If not it may be a deal breaker.

Assuming we're all in the USA, the VW dealer could service the car but not provide warranty coverage.

so would it be a problem to purchase/lease a new one? I hate to drive an hour to get work done.

If you are paying to have service done the VW dealer can do it. But they cannot do warranty work or perform the services under Audicare if you purchase that with your new vehicle. If it makes you feel better my closest dealer is 3 hours away.

That's clearly a personal decision. I know in my case I would NOT drive a long distance to have a car serviced or covered for warranty work. Two critical pieces for me when buying a new car:

1. how far is the dealer?
2. how is the dealer's reputation in terms of being able to service/repair the product they sell?

I bought my car at a VW dealer near the i605 in a city that begins a "C" (which I won't name in case it is an issue here), and they told me less than a week after I bought it (with a warranty I might add) that they wouldn't service it there. They are the crappiest dealer ever. Don't know about others but that is one verified "no" from a VW dealer. They claimed they didn't have the tools to service it. 2012 A6 3.0 premium. They didn't even ask what was wrong with it by the way. I'm looking for an Indy mechanic in my area as we speak. Any recommendations, please send them.
