new to Audi n loving it
hi every n anyone.. i am new to audi.
i have a 2003 A4 1.8T (Right Hand Drive).. my problem is that my traction control lights stays on all the time and ABS light comes on intermittently and when it does the speedometer stops working as well. if i switch off an start the ABS goes out and speedometer works but the traction control light remains. i was told by someone that it needs to scan because the rim and tires could be causing the traction control unit to mis read as its not the stock rim an tire which suggest to the unit that the car is slipping. but wouldn't that mean that the light would stay out if i am at a stand still. or maybe it also assess the height of the vehicle. i now where 215.45/17.. original was 205/55/15 i think...
any suggestions?
i also have a vibration with the car when i hit 80kmph n above. the steering does not reflect the vibration jus the body of the vehicle. if i continue to accelerate it starts to sound like a rapid knocking. inspectin claims there is no bad bushing in front end or back end. any idea what the could be?

Hey there,
The vibrations could mean you have bent rims. If the knocking is coming from the wheels it might mean you need to change the wheel barrings, but if it is not coming from the wheels it might be time to change the control arms. As for the ABS light, you have to get the car scanned because it could be a number of issues.
Hope this helped out a little.
