Default New B5 S4 Owner, Very Excited!

What's up AudiWorld? I'm new to the Audi scene although not VAG altogether, I had a MKV GLI a couple years ago.

I was rocking this '00 Impreza 2.5RS before making the switch. Fun car but I didn't feel like going through with a motor swap after doing an auto to manual conversion.

I just picked up this '00 S4 6 speed with 141k on it recently. The clutch is on it's way out and it's misfiring but I think I've got that sorted out, a new ICM will be here tomorrow and hopefully that'll solve the misfire.

The day I picked it up

Interior is in great shape!

I wasn't a fan of the Plasti-Dipped lower grilles and emblem so that and the license plate bracket were the first to go.

Looking forward to reading through this forum until my eyes are blurry!

After replacing the ICM, the car runs a lot better. I took it for a spin and after getting on the gas a bit the clutch started slipping pretty bad so i'll be replacing that pretty soon. What else should I replace while I've got the trans apart?

I'll be doing at least the trans mounts and the snub mount but is there anything else I should replace as preventative maintenance?

Wow, I just sold my 2000 RS 2.5 on Jan 1 this year. I had bought my first Audi(an A6) in Dec. Loved my Impreza, hated to see it go, but love the power that the Audi has!! Your S4 looks immaculate, enjoy.

Wow that thing looks really clean, zero quarter panel rust! I enjoyed mine but definitely prefer the power and comfort of the S4 much better.

The new A6s are really good looking cars, nice buy!

Well the clutch finally gave up the ghost yesterday. It stunk up the whole house after parking it in the garage Wednesday night and Thursday morning the clutch pedal was really stiff and it wouldn't go into reverse.

New clutch goes in next weekend, I can't wait to see how this car drives when everything is working!
