And no worries with the stop and go, its pretty unobtrusive as it is, as Audi has continually tweaked the function over the last number of years, and in any event, its a breeze to switch off and as Snagitseven said you can Vag.com it too if it really annoys you, but give it a try for a month of so and see if you don't find you can easily adapt to it and turn it off easy enough when you wish. It's no big deal.
Cannot wait! Looks like end of Sept / early Oct but haven't received any updates as of yet.

Wow whatumean, btw just noticed supposedly my order was also placed 7/13/15 (still waiting for dealer confirmation), have not gotten emails from Audi in Germany either. Any information anyone can provide about what are the best materials to choose, options to choose and expected costs would be greatly appreciated. Also, how are these maintained? Can you wax them? Sorry if I seem so naïve, am new to these issues.

For now, my quote is $2550 for all of that so looking around at what others paid and at what places since the product is only as good as those who apply it.
That seems a bit on the high side. My detailer (rated as one of the top 10 in the U.S.) charges about $1800 for full front Xpel Ultimate and about $500 for full paint protection with prep. Shop around, you might be able to save $200-400.

On the Xpel Ultimate, be sure to add the rocker panels, A pillars and a piece on the rear bumper to protect it from loading stuff. My guy does not use any pre-cut kits and wraps the edges on the hood and fenders so no seams show. An Xpel 60" roll is required to do a full hood without seams.

It feels like an eternity but my car finally arrived at port on 10/5. Hopefully by mid next week I will finally meet her in person!

Congrats on the car! It's a great choice. Check out some dash cams from The Wirecutter, they are pretty good.

There's little else in the world than the joy of picking up a brand new car.
