Default You should start a little development somewhere of doghouses

Buy land from a rancher whose owned it for generations...bulldoze, put the creek underground, put in retention ponds, put in a little green space around it with curvy running paths..Maybe call it Firehydrant Ridge or Chase Your Tail Meadow.
And then kiss it all goodbye

Default Lol! I think we've been looking at the same ads.

Craigslist or MLS?

We saw that ad, but if I remember right it's a 1 br, and we're looking for 2.

Thanks though- appreciate the thought!

Default Thanks wnut!

I've broached the subject of Oakland or San Jose's J-town with her, and she sounds open to it. I just wish we didn't start looking with a trip to Santana Row; it's like shopping for anything: You don't want to start with the top model.

Thanks for the info- you probably already know this, but around here, good buyer's agents are worth their weight in gold. I'll email you when we start seriously looking.

Default Yes, wnut has some good recommendations...one especially, agent wise!

Nut, Azita is AWESOME. She's doing interior design for me at this point, managing all the contractors, etc!

Default got mine though the mls. Like wnut, I can also set you up with a buyer' tool kit

for free. I'm a real estate agent with Intero Real Estate in Saratoga.

If you are interviewing for buyer's agent, my brother and I work as a team and would love to show you how we can help.

email me at fkuo@interorealestate.com

Default

I wouldn't consider being woken up "several times a year" to be too bad. Not in a city.

Default The wife and I are looking for the same thing as Inquisitor. We have an agent currently, but...

its good to know another one. Currently renting in japantown, so staying in the area would be pretty sweet.

Default actually imo you started at the bottom of the barrel.

yeah...i really do not like santana row. i think they're poorly designed, slap stick construction, poor material choice, shovy and unprofessional sales agents, i can go on.

i was looking at one of the villa's, they were asking 1.2MM iirc, when i toured it i guess he say my disappointment and asked me what was wrong. i told him that i expected my dollar to go a lot further and for such a price i'd at least get real hardwood, stained cabinets, prosumer appliences, etc.

his reply was 'well you are buying in santana row, and a big part of the premium is the neighborhood.'

disappointing.

definitely let me know when you are ready, i'm more then willing to help any way i can.
