Default Almost any road from Silicon Valley over to the beach is good, except...

of course, avoid 17 and 92.

Default Try this, for example....

It's been a long time since I drove this -- almost a decade ago in a 2nd gen RX-7, but I seem to remember this being one decent route for fun, depending on time of day...

<a href="http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=&saddr=Saratoga ,+California&daddr=Big+Basin+Way+%4037.195560, +-122.210560+to:Big+Basin+Way+%4037.173180,+-122.175220+to:37.169345,-122.072182+to:Skyline+Blvd+%4037.251690,

Default 580/Livermore to Mines Road. At the roadhouse bar you can go south (Links Observatory) or go East

on one of the best surfaced roads in California. It will eventually take you out to Hwy 5 right by Patterson, so you take 5 north, back on 580 and into the bay area.

That road back there is epic.... from 580/Livermore plan on 3 hrs.

Default santa cruz mtn loop

Start in san Jose.
17 over to Scotts Valley.
Mt Hermon Rd to Felton
Felton Empire Rd to
Ice Cream Grade to
left on Pine Flat Rd to
Highway 1 north to
right on Pescadero Rd to
right on La Honda Rd to
right on Skyline to
left on Highway 9
down through saratoga and back to san Jose

Take it easy till you're familiar with them. a lot of these roads are frickin' tiny.

Default A fellow ol'skool I5 ? I always enjoy Empire Grade. Of course it helps if you have one these . . .

Email me if you'd like access to my Pashnit account.
