UPDATE: Thanks and resolved (finally!)
Thanks, everyone, for your sympathetic replies. You made me feel better about my situation, knowing you too could see how crazy it all was!
So apparently the third time is a charm ... I stopped off at a police station on my way to work and got my #$@#('ing ticket signed off! I hope to hell to never get another fix-it ticket in my life!

Haha! I did make some snarky donut-related comments at station #2 which the officer ....
... seemed none too pleased with. But thankfully she just gave me a look to kill, she didn't arrest me!

My fixit ticket story.
99 I buy my first A6..with Xenons. I must have been like the first freaking person in the bay area with xenons because I am getting stopped by the PoPo's for "blue lights on the front on a vehicle"..A big no-no.
One night after a very late dinner at Rose Pistola in the City, a SFPD stops me and issues a fixit ticket for the headlight. He boasted he had given hundreds of ticket to the ricers who had illegal lighting. I argued that this was a legal, DOT approved factory option. He wouldn't listen.
The next morning I show up at 650 Bryant to start the process and get to the window, the woman says "You're not in the system, go home and wait for a letter." I do. I get a warrant in a couple of months.
To cut the story short, and it goes on for some time. I get my dealer involved, Audi of America is sending me legal papers of the DOT papers about the xenon lights with scientific charts, etc. Their people are calling me. I get stopped by the Berkeley Police and three squad cars surround me..I have a warrant for my arrest in the system.
I eventually have to go to trial after a couple of times in court trying to resolve it without "fixing" it which the police are saying requires a removal of the xenon bulbs and replacement of a more yellow bulb. I won and still carry all my paper work with me in the car.
I feel all xenon owners in the bay area owe me a debt for going to bat for them..
