the motorcycle cop saw me turn into the left turn lane too early. The ticket was for crossing over the divider....he said it was a double yellow. On my way home I saw that there are no painted double yellow lines on the asphalt. What the asphalt does have are the raised dots but they don't form double lines instead it's continous on the side closest to me followed by a line of three dots with a long space before the next three.

In any case I was cordial with him since he appeared stressed (face covered in sweat) at eight in the morning and the last thing he needed was someone coming up with on the spot excuses.

too much cocaine or not enough alcohol before his shift. Shoulda asked him to pee in a cup.
