Looks like the NorCal thistle crop did well with all that rain. Largest artichoke I've ever seen . .
Pretty much the biggest thistle I've ever seen, I've included an old watch for scale . . . to the left we have a small organic Meyer lemon, a regular lemon and a small organic Rosso Bruno tomatoe . . .

Big thick staulk . . . nice fresh cut is the indicator of a fresh artichoke.
