Stevens Creek vs Carlsen
I bought my A4 online, and Carlsen gave me the best deal and service for the purchase. But now I take it to Stevens Creek for the warranty service, because they give out loaner cars (Enterprise rent-a-car, or if you're lucky, an Audi).
I would probably use Edmunds.com and send out "feeler" price quote requests and communicate through email with the internet dealers until you find a price you want. Got mine $100 over invoice that way (Livermore offered $0 over invoice, but it was too far for me to make the $100 savings worth it).
Scenic drive: If you take Page Mill in Palo Alto all the way to the ocean, that drive is pretty nice. The 84 going to Half Moon Bay is good too.
Marin has some good drives on Sir Francis Drake road.
