STaSIS partners with Audi Stevens Creek

I agree, many Audi dealers are not so good... this one included
I pulled up to service there and one of the goons working there comes up to me and says, "Is this a quattro?" I said, "Uhhhh, yeah, it's an S4."
He's holding his morning cup of coffee and goes,"Hey man, you got some smoke coming from under the hood. Go ahead and pop your hood."
I open it, get out of the car and take a look with him. No sign of the phantom smoke coming from the hood. He goes on to say, "Well it could be that stuff they put on the car when they ship it across the ocean." The car had over 30,000 miles on it, so I'm not so sure about that.
It was a cold winter morning and he was holding a cup of coffee... so there's a few places where the "smoke" could be coming from.
Many of the sales guys are also a bunch of goons. They insisted on running a credit check on my pops when we went to test drive a B5 S4 back in the day (2001).
Salesperson said, "We don't just put anyone in a 45K car. The other week someone pulled a gun on a lady out for a test drive." That was a little over the top for me.
The demo car had a huge dent in the trunk and I asked him what happened there. He said, ah yeah, nothing... we're going to fix it... Whenever Audi repairs its cars, we don't use body filler, we just throw the part away and replace it. Not like Lexus accross the street, they don't do that. Then he went on to say that the fit and finish on the Audi was waaaay better than Lexus.
I don't have a favorable impression of that dealership as a whole. Just my 2 cents.

Have not had a problem @ SC, and have had 1 good sales experience out of 2, but...
...after owning 2 Benzes over 8 years and getting spoiled by Smythe's most excellent service, Audi Stevens Creek is a real downer generally and made me wonder whether this place is typical of Audi. Am considering going to Carlsen or Rector for service from now on, especially since the A3 is modded. Need a new car next year anyway, and although was impressed with salesman on recent A3 purchase, have been very disappointed with service experience generally at SC.
Oddest thing I heard at SC, waiting for some post-sales service: someone else's service rep telling a young couple that, yes, they can get tires elsewhere, but make sure they're Audi approved tires, because Audis are picky about that. Whatever....

SC are the reason I'm now driving a BMW.
No way could I contemplate buying a new Audi when they are my local dealer. The next closest dealer, Carlson, won't do a shuttle service to my location, so I'm out $35 for a rental every time I go.

do a search and you will find numerous stories. most of the problems were made worse by dennis
dolten the service mgr.
he thought he was a god.
i don't see how he can be in charge of rector since he's got no sense of customer service. ie... yelling at me for a mistake he made himself along with his techs.
