Stef and I were doing lunch today and the idea of SF dinners came up again...who's interested?

Hmm...I recently went to a place by Richmond, basically off of hwy 1...probably kind of far for most
and teh attraction isn't there at night, but when you said beach chalet, it reminded me. We should do a lunch there sometime...beautiful views.
What's it called? It's got a museum on the first floor...

Been meaning to make the trek out there after the remodel..
It is at Land's End though and might make the trek for East Bay'ers that much more difficult. But you're right it does have that nice parking both up on top and along the Great Hiway

When we got there the whole place was empty and I asked if we could sit in a booth .
He said no. I looked around like whadda mean? He said it will be crowded later on so no, sit at the bar..The bartender though was very engaging and attentive.

i've been to Tres Agaves a number of times..
Great inside, noisy, but that's fine. Margaritas are superb. But I think they have the hookup somehow with the reviewers..The food is...is...OK. It can be a bear to get into a night since it's the darling of the reviewers at the moment.
But great fun for drinks and such..big bar area
