Default Mercedes & Acura TL (torn in half) accident in Queens. Couple dead.

A troubled teen Jacob Chubashvili who got behind the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz high on marijuana sped through a red light into a busy Queens intersection Tuesday, slamming into another car and killing a husband and wife, police sources said.

A heartless teen cared more about the pricey car he was driving than the Queens couple he killed in a drugged-up joyride, prosecutors said yesterday.

"How is my Mercedes? That was supposed to be my car," Jacob Chubalashvili, 17, allegedly told cops when he was questioned at Jamaica Hospital, where he was being treated for injuries after the deadly Tuesday-morning crash.

Chubalashvili, bruised and wearing a cast on one arm, shuffled into a Queens courtroom yesterday to be arraigned on manslaughter charges for killing Hyek Yung Kim, 53, and her husband, Ki Kim, 55.

The Kims, of Kew Gardens, were on their way to work in a 2004 Acura when Chubalashvili - allegedly driving double the speed limit on the Grand Central Parkway Service Road - plowed into them as he swerved around another car idling at a red light at 69th Road.

"I was really f- - -ed up," he told the officers at the hospital, according to the criminal complaint. "I was speeding and popping pills. I had about 12 pain pills."

Prosecutor Travis Hunter told the judge that Chubalashvili had admitted taking his friend's Mercedes-Benz without permission and smoking pot.

"I remember taking the car - it's a Mercedes - and jetting down the road, and the next thing I remember is waking up in the hospital," the teen said, according to court documents.

Chubalashvili's lawyer, Leonard Ressler, said his client was heavily medicated when he allegedly made those statements. He added that the road where the crash occurred is hazardous because of overgrown trees.

Judge Robert Raciti set Chubalashvili's bail at $500,000. Chubalashvili, who faces 15 years in prison if convicted of manslaughter, has two other pending cases - one for robbery and another for jumping a subway-station turnstile

Default he admitted to it, what else is there to disprove guilt?

would you be saying the same if your parents were killed by him?

Default beyond a stupid a comment by his lawyer

and if that is his best defense, I'll give the lawyer some credit -- he not trying to jump thru some technicality in the law.

What's there to preserve? The kid jumped in a car under heavy influence and decided to speed?
