Almost the same thing happened to me with Lincoln several years ago.
Had my car in for service, was told it needed a part that would not be received until after the weekend.
Went back on Monday and the car was not there. After a bunch of back & forth it was revieled that the car was repaired on Friday and that the service manager took the car to Atlantic City, about 300 miles round trip. He thought he would have been back Sunday night, but it did not work out that way.
I didn't buy the "It was an extensive test drive" bit they tried to pass on me..
They gave me a $500 check to try to keep me as a repeat customer. Cashed the check and never went back to them. At the time there were planty of other Lincoln dealers for service
